Application Limits

Allowable pressure can decrease as operating temperature rises, and continuous pressure cycling, vibration or thermal shock may further affect service performance.

For gas applications, a standard brass fitting should not automatically be considered suitable for all natural gas, LPG or other fuel-gas installations. Required thread standards, sealing materials, certifications and local regulations must be confirmed before use.

RoHS compliance controls certain restricted substances but does not equal potable-water approval, NSF certification or food-contact certification. Separate certification is required when such approval is necessary.

Only when the complete fitting configuration meets the requirements of the specific gas system. Brass construction alone does not establish gas-system approval.

Is RoHS enough for drinking water?

No. RoHS and drinking-water certification address different requirements. Potable-water applications require separate material and product approval where applicable.
