Connection Design

90-Degree Direction Change

The 90-degree elbow configuration allows the tube to change direction without adding a separate elbow. It can be useful around pumps, valves, machine components and other areas where straight-line pipe installation is difficult.

Integrated Size Reduction

The reducing configuration allows different tube sizes to be connected within one fitting. This can simplify the piping arrangement and eliminate the need for a separate reducer in suitable applications.

Three-Piece Compression Connection

The fitting uses a body, compression nut and ferrule to secure the tube mechanically. When correctly installed, the compression assembly forms the required sealing connection without welding or tube flaring.

This connection method is suitable for equipment installation, maintenance and modification where a mechanical connection is preferred.

Brass Material

CuZn37 and CuZn39Pb3 Options

NINGXING uses CuZn37 (CW508L) and CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N) brass according to the required configuration and application.

Parameter Specification

Hot-Forged Construction

The brass billet is heated above 600°C and formed under controlled forging pressure. Hot forging produces a dense fitting body and helps reduce internal defects such as pores and cavities that may occur in conventional cast components.

The reinforced wall structure provides additional mechanical strength for applications where the fitting is exposed to pressure, vibration or repeated equipment operation.

Precision Manufacturing

CNC Machining: After forging, the fitting is processed using CNC equipment to machine the tube connection area, male thread, internal passage and sealing surfaces.

Controlled machining helps maintain dimensional accuracy and consistent thread geometry, which is particularly important for distributors and OEM customers requiring repeatable connections across multiple production batches.

Final Inspection: After machining, the fitting is deburred, cleaned and finished according to the selected surface treatment.

Water-pressure and air-pressure sealing tests are carried out before shipment to verify connection integrity and help identify potential leakage issues.

Pressure and Temperature

Pressure Ratings

The Brass Thickened Compression Elbow Reducer 90-Degree Male Thread is available in different pressure series. The LL series supports working pressure up to 100 bar / 1,450 PSI, while the L series supports up to 160 bar / 2,320 PSI. The S series can reach up to 400 bar / 5,800 PSI. The minimum burst-pressure safety factor is 4:1.

The actual allowable pressure depends on tube material, tube diameter, temperature, thread configuration and installation conditions. Buyers should confirm the complete configuration before selecting a fitting for a pressure-critical system.

Temperature Range

The standard working temperature range is -40°C to +175°C, with a short-term maximum temperature of +200°C according to the specified configuration.

For applications operating close to the temperature limit, the compatibility of the tube, fitting, sealing components and transported medium should be evaluated together.

Thread and Tube Options

International Thread Standards

The male-threaded end is available in NPT, BSPT, BSPP and metric configurations. Since different thread standards are not universally interchangeable, buyers should specify the exact thread standard and size when requesting a quotation.

Metric and Imperial Tubing

The compression side can accommodate a range of metric and imperial tube outside diameters. Metric options include 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm and 22 mm. Imperial options include 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4".

The compression connection should always be selected according to the actual outside diameter of the tube rather than nominal pipe size alone.

Standard Models

Application Areas

Hydraulic and Lubrication Systems

In factory automation equipment, machine tools and construction machinery, pipe routing can become complicated around pumps, valves and moving components. The 90-degree configuration helps redirect tubing through restricted areas, while the reducing connection can join different tube sizes without an additional reducer.

In centralized lubrication systems, the compression connection provides a mechanical connection suitable for equipment where vibration and repeated operating cycles need to be considered.

Plumbing and HVAC

In residential buildings, hotels and offices, this fitting can be used in suitable hot-water, cold-water and HVAC applications where the selected material, pressure rating and connection configuration meet system requirements.

The compression design avoids welding and tube flaring, making it practical for certain installation, maintenance and pipe modification situations.

Pneumatic and Instrumentation Systems

In compressed-air systems, pneumatic equipment and instrumentation lines, the Brass Thickened Compression Elbow Reducer 90-Degree Male Thread can connect compatible tubing with valves, regulators, gauges and other threaded components.

Its compact 90-degree structure can help organize tubing around equipment where connection space is limited. For specialized gases, chemicals or aggressive media, material compatibility should be confirmed before use.

Buyer Specification Guide

Tube Outside Diameter

The compression end is matched to the actual outside diameter of the tube. Buyers should provide the exact tube OD when ordering, especially when working with metric and imperial tubing.

Thread Type and Size

The equipment connection should be identified as NPT, BSPT, BSPP or metric, together with the required size. Providing the complete thread specification helps prevent compatibility problems during installation.

Operating Conditions

Before selecting the pressure series, buyers should confirm the working pressure, peak pressure, operating temperature and transported medium. These conditions determine whether the selected fitting configuration is appropriate.
